I do not know about you but sometimes God, when I least expect it, takes my breath away.
Sitting on an early morning flight, I just wanted to be left alone and sleep, which I did for the first part BUT then He nudged me to wake up! I woke up and turned to look out the window from the plane and there before me, was the most amazing sunrise I had ever seen. I sat mesmerized for the rest of the flight.
I heard Him whisper into my heart, “Child, do you see this sunrise? I made it for you to see. I knew you needed to see such beauty to visualize what I mean when I say my mercies are new each day. Do you truly feel my love for you and trust that I know what you need?” Tears welled up in my eyes and began to stream down my face as I felt His presence so near and so intimate. I found my whole body relaxing allowing the seat to hold my body as I allowed the moment to not be wasted. I felt time slow down as if time had been changed to the slow-motion speed. And there I was flying over the still clouds watching the new day begin with my God. Calmness came over me as I sat there in His stillness.
Friends, do you know He is waiting to show you all the wonder He has made for you to see today? Do you sense Him nudging you to “wake” up? If so, go ahead and open your eyes. Take in all that He has created for you to see today. Open your heart to receive his tender mercy and love.
What an amazing God we serve!!
