Scripture

“Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” — Mark 6:31

Reflection

The world will not hand you stillness — you must choose it.

Every day pulls at your attention, your energy, your peace. The demands are loud, and the pace rarely slows. Yet God’s invitation remains steady and tender: Come away with Me.

It’s not about escaping life; it’s about remembering that you don’t walk through it alone.

When you slow your breathing and bring your heart before Him — even for five quiet minutes — you’ll sense His nearness. You’ll remember that His presence is the safest place to land.

Today, you don’t need to fix, prove, or push. You only need to abide.

Practice for the Week

Find one “margin moment” each day — the quiet seconds between tasks or conversations. In that space, take a deep breath and whisper: “Here I am, Lord.” Let that be your coming away — a sacred pause in the middle of real life.

Closing Prayer

Lord, teach me how to come away with You, even in the ordinary moments. Quiet my heart.

Amen.

Keep Abiding, Friend.
